Accounts Assistant (s) required!

Are you available at short notice for 6 months work, part-time or full-time, hours to suit?

This is an established family-run country pursuits business near Tiverton.

This is the busy season and we need you!!

If you have a solid background in transactional accounting, the role can be tailored to suit your individual experience.

Supported by an experienced, “hands-on” Finance Manager, typical duties include;

  • Maintain an accurate purchase ledger; processing invoices, payments and credit notes

  • Supplier statement reconciliations

  • Sales ledger support

  • Bank reconciliations

  • Weekly payroll

  • Intercompany reconciliations

  • Preparation of VAT returns

What are we looking for in you?

  • A flexible team player, enthusiastic about working towards a shared goal during a busy period;

  • Experienced in transactional accounting;

  • Ability to work diligently with accuracy, in a timely fashion;

  • VAT knowledge is an advantage;

  • Experience of payroll is relevant and valued;

  • Previous experience of Quickbooks is useful but not essential.

In return;

  • Roles can be flexed to suit those looking for 3-5 days per week, days/times to suit;

  • Office located in a beautiful rural setting near Tiverton;

  • Due to a planned expansion to the team early 2023, possibility of role becoming permanent if this appeals, but not a prerequisite for the temporary role;

  • Annual salary offered £23,000 – £28,000, based on experience.
