Award-winning business experiencing significant growth. The Financial Controller needs the support of an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager.
The Challenge
To provide a centralised billing, query management and debt collection service and continually look for improvements.
Liaising with internal departments to ensure billing can be delivered accurately and on time, and the relevant services provided.
To ensure the prompt collection of all outstanding monies on the Sales Ledger, minimise the exposure to bad debts, and lead debt recovery processes.
To provide financial management information on outstanding debt.
Improve the cash flow by setting an internal mechanism to facilitate cash collection and liaising with Financial Controller and Commercial Manager to support the Cashflow forecasting.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records.
Monitor overdue payments promises, anticipate developments, and identify customers which require special attention.
What are we looking for in you?
Experience of working in a challenging accounts receivable environment, dealing effectively with accounts with a high volume of transactions;
Robust, confident personality possessing excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written, and ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external customers;
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, experience of working in construction is relevant and valued but not essential;
Proven ability for attention to detail and accuracy;
Driven to ensure tasks are seen to completion;
Extensive experience of sales ledger;
Advanced excel & strong general IT skills.
