Award-winning business experiencing significant growth. The Financial Controller needs the support of an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager.

The Challenge

  • To provide a centralised billing, query management and debt collection service and continually look for improvements.

  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure billing can be delivered accurately and on time, and the relevant services provided.

  • To ensure the prompt collection of all outstanding monies on the Sales Ledger, minimise the exposure to bad debts, and lead debt recovery processes.

  • To provide financial management information on outstanding debt.

  • Improve the cash flow by setting an internal mechanism to facilitate cash collection and liaising with Financial Controller and Commercial Manager to support the Cashflow forecasting.

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records.

  • Monitor overdue payments promises, anticipate developments, and identify customers which require special attention.

What are we looking for in you?

  • Experience of working in a challenging accounts receivable environment, dealing effectively with accounts with a high volume of transactions;

  • Robust, confident personality possessing excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written, and ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external customers;

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, experience of working in construction is relevant and valued but not essential;

  • Proven ability for attention to detail and accuracy;

  • Driven to ensure tasks are seen to completion;

  • Extensive experience of sales ledger;

  • Advanced excel & strong general IT skills.
