This is a fabulous opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to progress their finance career; we’re equally open to those “qualified by experience”.
Due to rapid, sustainable growth, this business is expanding its finance team of 9.
We trust you to deliver your best work, whether from home or the office, so we need you to be self-motivated and work independently and as part of a team. All we ask is that the team come together in the office 1 day a week, work from home the rest of the time if you choose.
As Assistant Project Cost Accountant, you will;
Review monthly project cost reports and reconcile them to Sage.
Review spend requests, ensuring they align with approved projects and budgets.
Review costs to complete projects, engage with the construction team and project cost managers, and compare them to approved budgets.
Reviewing project retentions and accruals for management accounts purposes.
Maintain tangible fixed asset registers in Excel (currently £2bn valuation).
Calculate depreciation and post associated journals to Sage.
Support the updating of the group project cashflows and forecast expenditure.
