The Challenge

The nature of the audits will be varied so you can expect to gain a huge amount of exposure across all facets of the Group and to really develop your understanding of risk and wider commercial awareness. You’ll take the initiative to resolve and/or draw attention to areas that do not meet required standards or any issues that arise.

A key element of the role will be to provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of the business’ governance, risk management and internal control by planning and leading a range of internal audits as well as supporting a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation with consideration for the business risk appetite.

The successful candidate

  • Qualified accountant and/or auditor, typically ACA, ACCA or IIA, or equivalent;

  • Audit (External or Internal) experience gained within a professional services firm (Big 4 / Top 10) or in-house within a large, commercially-focused business;

  • A good understanding of risk and controls alongside effective communication skills;

  • Possessing strong commercial acumen with the ability to engage with non-financial stakeholders;

  • Excellent influencing skills;

  • A self-motivated individual holding a genuine desire to add value and able to think outside the box.

In return, you’ll receive

  • A salary in the region of £43,000 – £53,000;

  • Support with further training via relevant external courses of interest;
