The Challenge
This business is entering a growth phase; having successfully completed a funding round, it has the potential to grow significantly over the next 3-5 years.
As such, the leadership team will be focussing on delivering this growth and requires a commercially-minded Management Accountant to support the Finance Director in achieving this aim.
This newly-created Management Accountant role has primary responsibility for delivering the Management Accounts, in line with Group accounting policy, including commentary on key variances.
You’ll maintain best practice; dynamic forecasts of P&L, Balance Sheets, Cashflows and preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
As you become established you will attend and contribute to monthly management meetings; positively influencing operational performance, and proactively seek ways to improve Finance processes and systems.
This hands-on role will enable you to get to know the business inside out and provide you with the opportunity to progress as the company continues to grow.
What are we looking for in you?
* A professionally qualified accountant ACCA, CIMA or equivalent (or finalist) with management accounting experience;
* Confidence and ability to present financial information to a variety of stakeholders;
* Effective communicator, comfortable working with teams across the business;
* Proactive approach with a desire to succeed;
* Able to use own initiative;
* Problem solver, curious nature;
* Highly proficient in MS Excel
