The Challenge
The MD has a strong appetite for growth and he is looking to recruit a Project Commercial Lead to manage the day-to-day control of the company’s latest flagship project including analysis of cost vs value and profitability of the contract.
As Project Commercial Lead, you will build working relationships with the commercial team at the client as well as the relevant in-house supply chain being used for the project. The role involves purchasing and controlling costs using economies of scale to maximise buying power across the wider business.
The role will require a hands-on approach. Compiling reports for the client including KPI’s and SLA’s. Forecasting of cash and future workload requirements. Ensuring that invoicing and applications are done in a timely and accurate manner. Working with the Operations team to ensure all timesheets are received and correct for all operatives.
What are we looking for in you?
Naturally curious, proactive, self-starter who takes the initiative to resolve issues, make improvements, not just report on them;
Understand the inter-relationship between time cost and commercial aspects of the project life cycle;
Track record in building effective working relationships;
Equally comfortable working in the detail as reporting to Board;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled to an ability to communicate well at all levels;
High level of analytical and numerate skills;
Previous purchasing experience is relevant and valued, but not essential;
