An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Manager to join an aspirational and inspirational organisation in the Special Education Sector providing learning experiences that significantly improve life chances and outcomes for children and young people across the Swindon area.

The Challenge:

Working closely with the CFO and Interim Director of Finance, you will provide comprehensive Financial Management, Financial Planning & reporting, along with Accounting & Governance to the Trust. As a Senior Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Fully managing the finance function and development of the finance team.

  • Supporting the CFO, evaluating and updating the annual business plan.

  • Budgets, financial reporting, procurement, cash-flow and fixed assets.

  • Maintaining integrity and compliance of the accounting systems in accordance with various company and charity legislation and Bodies.

  • Preparing and attending committee meetings supporting strategic development & operations of the finance function.

What are we looking for in you as Senior Finance Manager:

  • Part or Qualified Accountant ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA, AAT.

  • Sound knowledge of funding, regulatory and legislation.

  • Understanding of national & regional education services.

  • Ambitious, diligent and industrious leader, motivator and great communicator.

In return, you can expect:

  • Salary, £43,000 – £48,000 depending on experience.

  • Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00.

  • Part Time, Permanent and FTC will be considered.
